Hi Everyone... I'm looking for some advice. I've been doing some serious research into the above 3 machines. I have 2+ acres of land (mow about 1.5, but that could expand). I have a paved 6000 sq ft driveway that I will be snow blowing and will be using a FEL for various "yard tasks". I've gotten quotes on the three machines, all with the following configuration: 54" mmm, FEL, Grass collection (a must, and not with any standalone engine), front mount snow blower, & wheel weights. Quotes are B7500 (18,100), BX2200 (15,200) and JD with no collection system (15,300). I don't mind spending the extra for the B7500, but want to make sure the mowing and collection system are comparable to the smaller BX configuration. Anyone that can share any advice would be appreciated.... Mowing/grass collection is #1 priority, snowblowing is #2, future expandability is #3. I look fwd to your comments.

Your posting offers a quick question that comes to mind. As you look into the cloudy crystal ball, what do you see as your expansion? Coupled with, what do you believe your expansion requirements to be? If you're not planning on much more than snowblowing and mowing, chances are that the BX2200 will suffice. However, if your expansion plans require roughing stumped yard area, de-rocking an area or something thatwould ultimately require significant clearance, the BX may come up short, literally. The BX2200 offers about 6.7" of clearance, whereas the B7500 offers 12", nearly double. Food for thought.

Thanks for the info Willie, point well taken. I had read that in the spec sheet, and am considering that a "nice to have". I've seen a lot of people basically saying that the BX2200 is an a garden tractor on steroids, with the low ground clearence being one of it's downfalls. The 2200 may in fact fit my needs 100% (today), but I'd be pretty upset 2 years down the road if I end up with a task too big for it. If anyone has some good info on how well the 7500 mows, bags, and can comment on it's manuverability, I may lean more in that direction. The 60 inch snowblower on the B7500 will also help lean that way.... ....

Look back at the thread last dated 3.24.03 on the Kubota post board. Here you can read all about the B7500 mowing abilities as heard from a variety of different owners,RE: Mowing with a B7500...then you should be able to make up your mind...or not! Lots of info there, most as you will read is relative to either geographic locations, or size requirements.
